Jessica’s Mission

Jessica is especially passionate about kidney health. Her mission is to educate and empower people to prevent, protect, and preserve kidney function at all stages of disease. She aims to close the awareness gap, transforming the common experience of “I didn’t know I had kidney disease, and now I’m on dialysis” into “I see my doctor regularly, I know my kidney function, and I know how to protect it.”

Jessica’s Bio

Jessica Clancy-Strawn – Nutrition & Media Expert Jessica Clancy, a native Texan, began her professional journey at age 17 as a cosmetologist, a career she pursued for 18 years while earning her BS in Nutrition from the University of Houston. In 1996, she worked on Oxford Street in London through BUNAC (British Universities North America Club) and traveled to 17 European countries, enriching her global perspective.
She later completed her MA in Nutrition with a business minor from Sam Houston State University in 2002, including international business studies in Puebla, Mexico. For nearly two decades, Jessica has served as a registered dietitian in Houston, including at the renowned Texas Medical Center, supporting individuals through every stage of life—from pregnancy and childhood to chronic disease management.

Jessica is a firm believer in giving back and helping others just as she has been helped. Through media and partnering with brands she is bringing education and wellness toolkits to those in her community such as schools, high traffic hairs salons and neighborhood community centers. Teaching others about nutrition where these populations are busy taking care of others and don’t have the time or knowledge to make healthy choices not understand what real nutrition is. Evidence based information is and how to filter it
On a larger scale she hopes to partner with brands and bring a snack shack with disease person specific education to fundraising walks such as diabetes, kidney and support love Foster’s hope. Not only providing education but disease specific or client specific Dietitian approved snacks to the fund raising participants.

On an even bigger scale she hopes to bridge brands with independent film producers to bring marketing and resources to fuel family friendly entertainment creating opportunities to share valuable life changing movies and stories to the big screen and bring into families homes. Providing resources to bring these films to life where financial opportunities and media is lacking.

As a Toastmaster, she continues to grow her public speaking skills and recently earned the Presentation Mastery badge. She actively seeks opportunities to help others and give back to her community. Jessica cherishes time with her church and family, enjoys traveling, RV glamping, hiking, biking and writing.

She is also a published author of The Quest for Family, a multi-award-winning work that is being adapted into a full-feature screenplay. Sponsorship, branding, and investment opportunities are currently available for the film’s production.
